Toilet paper tubes and egg cartons are ineffective for this purpose because there is no place for fluids to evaporate and discharge. The fluids build up, causing bacteria and soggy conditions. The Pupae eventually die.

Our cocoonery is made of open mesh and is lifted off the ground, which provides maximum airflow. Fluids and moisture evaporate and dissipate, leaving the pupae high and dry, ready to emerge as moths later.
