Our shipping days are Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday.
This makes it more likely that orders will be received before Sunday
and avoids shipments getting held over on Sunday.

We offer USPS Priority shipping as our standard shipping
service. Since silkworms and fruitflies are a perishable good, we do not offer USPS standard parcel post because shipment may
take too long. We offer Express Mail (1-2 day) service by request. Please contact us and we will quote you the cost.
USPS Priority Mail:
Priority Mail generally offers 2-3 day service to most domestic destinations
and one day delivery to some locations. However, neither we nor the USPS
guarantees a 3 day delivery time, so it may take longer than three days. Priority Mail includes
delivery to every address in the United States—including PO Boxes
and military addresses.
If you need a 1-2 day guaranteed delivery time, please contact us regarding shipment via USPS Express Mail.
We will then give you a quote for your order and await your response.

Prices for shipping are calculated according to:
• The weight of your order
• The destination zip code where you live
• The zip code we ship from (92110)
Orders cannot be shipped until payment is received and/or
verified. We accept personal checks, money orders, MasterCard, Visa and American Express.

Live in a HOT/COLD area?
The heat / cold shouldn't be a problem, unless the product is shipping
to areas of 90° and above or under 40° F.
We do not use cold packs because they don't provide any protection unless shipped overnight with
a Styrofoam box -- that gets too expensive. We do ship orders
with heat packs during the cold season. Heat packs are $2.50 plus 1 lb. extra shipping weight.
It is the responsibility of the customer to order a heat pack.
Please order a heat Pack at the bottom of each product page.
If Shipment is to high temperatures of 90° and above or under 40°,
we cannot offer a live guarantee. Please see our Live Guarantee
page for more details.
The Silkworm Shop may refuse or limit your order for any reason. By placing your order, you agree to accept

Living Items cannot be returned.
Non-Living items can
be returned at the buyer's expense for exchange. You will
be issued a store credit for the amount of the returned product.
The original shipping amount will not be credited.

Ordering from Hawaii and Foreign Countries
Live insects cannot be shipped to Hawaii without a permit.
At this time, we cannot ship to foreign countries.
